Ryerson Inc., one of the largest metals distributors in the US, is currently hiring a Communications & Public Relations Manager with a proven background in internal and external communications, marketing and media relations to join our team in our corporate office in Chicago, IL. Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Human Resources, the successful candidate in this new role will assist senior leadership in communicating clear messages to key internal and external constituencies. This individual will help craft the appropriate strategies and ensure best in class processes are in place to facilitate the smooth execution of all aspects of the communications process. In addition to having a good strategic vision, the individual will need outstanding hands on technical skills in terms of writing, presentations and all forms of electronic communications such as SFDC. A thorough understanding of how to design and manage world class web and intranet sites is also required. The role will be truly generalist and cover all facets of communications including financial, marketing and employee. We are looking for someone who is a business professional first and a communications expert second.
