More and more people all over the world are making their living by blogging full-time, and travel blogs are amongst the most lucrative there are, so why not combine the two by becoming a full-time travel blogger? You’ll get to travel the world, taking pictures and writing about your experiences, so others can see what it’s like in places they may never travel to.

In order to be a successful travel blogger, you’ll need to be able to write well, and you’ll need to have bags of motivation as well as some decent online marketing skills. Even then, there are no guarantees that your blog will take off, so there is a bit of risk involved in choosing this as a career, but don’t let that stop you because, if your gamble pays off, working will never feel like work again!

Travel Photographer

If running your own blog isn’t something that appeals to you, perhaps taking stunning pictures of exotic locations might? Becoming a travel photographer is a great way to see the world, create beautiful art and get paid, and if you’re good at it, you could see your pictures in huge publications like National Geographic, but you will probably have to train as a professional photographer if you want to go down this path.

Freelancing

Thanks to the internet, more people are giving up their 9-5’s and opting to work freelance instead. The beauty of this is, not only can you work remotely from any location you wish, in most cases, but there are businesses looking for freelancers to do a mind-boggling number of things, so whatever your strengths are, it should be possible to make a living.

Article writing, web design, sales calls, data entry – you can do it all remotely on your own terms. The only possible downside is that you will have to compete against other freelancers for jobs, and you won’t always have a steady, reliable income coming in, especially when you start out.

Social Media Management

Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram are huge right now, and that has pushed increasing numbers of companies and brands to use them to market to their customers.

This is good news for those of you looking for remote jobs that offer more freedom because those companies need people to update, manage and maintain their social media accounts, and this is something that can be done, with an internet connection from anywhere in the world. The pay can be pretty good too.
