Support Divisional Sales Managers by monitoring, analyzing, and summarizing category and brand performance.
We currently have two openings for Category Managers and one position would ideally be functioning within the West Coast and the second position would ideally be functioning within the East Coast. Specific regions to be discussed upon interview.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Track and analyze category, brand, and item performance
Make recommendations for optimal customer product mix
Use syndicated and customer data to evaluate business trends
Analyze new item performance
Help develop fact-based sales presentations

Desired Skills & Experience
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a Bachelors Degree in business, marketing, or related field required. MBA highly desirable
3-5 years in a category management or marketing function within the CPG industry
Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experienced with developing sales presentations
Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
Strong analytical skills to ensure integrity of data and be proficient with ACNielsen/IRI Scandata
Possess excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication (written and oral) skills
Experienced in all elements of the marketing mix and have a firm grasp of marketing principles
Food and/or beverage experience is desirable
Must know MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Up to 20% travel
